The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops. This is the website of the national assembly of Bishops of Canada, containing important information about the Church in Canada.

The Bible

Bible Gateway. Offers a free, fully-searchable Bible in many translations, including the New Revised Standard Version most commonly used in Canada.

EWTN. Offers daily mass readings.

The Coming Home Network. Offers a free plan to read through the Bible and Catechism in one year, which is also downloadable here.

Catholic Teaching

Catechism of the Catholic Church. The Catechism is an official statement of Church teaching which "aims at presenting an organic synthesis of the essential and fundamental contents of Catholic doctrine, as regards both faith and morals" (CCC 11). When searching for the Church's official teaching on matters of faith, start here. The Knights of Columbus also maintain a fully searchable version.

Compendium of the Catechism of the Catholic Church. The Compendium is a more concise version of the Catechism.

Compendium of the Social Doctrine of the Church. This document sets out an overview of the Church's official teaching on social issues, including human rights, the family, work, economics, domestic and international politics, the environment and peace.

The Holy See. This is the official website of the Vatican. It includes electronic copies of most Church documents, including encyclicals, apostolic exhortations and letters, homilies and other documents from Pope Francis and earlier popes.

It operates a radio program which is syndicated throughout North America, publishes a magazine and books, and operates an excellent website answering virtually any question about the life and faith of the Catholic Church.
